Dyeing with H2COLOR-AUX

When dyeing with reactive dyes, part of the dye reacts with water and is hydrolysed which implicates harsh washing off procedures after dyeing to remove it. These procedures waste water, energy ant time. By adding H2COLOR-AUX at the beginning of dyeing, it complexes with the dye preventing most of the hydrolysis taking place. The complex releases the dye when it is already on the fibre for it to react solely with the fibre. This way only a short low temperature washing off is necessary, saving an estimate of 70%  water, 60% energy and 50% time for medium to dark colours.

Dyeing with H2COLOR-Pigments

Ecofoot has also developed Hybrid Pigments, based on a dye chemically linked to a polymer particle, appropriate for Garment Dyeing of cotton garments at low temperatures (25ºC) and no salt.

Garment Dyeing of Denim is traditionally done with Indigo, a very polluting process. Ecofoot-Indigo is a specific H2COLOR-Pigment, that is applied in Denim and tops (fabric or knitwear) in an ecological process, that avoids reducing agents. Oher colours of H2COLOR-Pigments are applied in the same way as indigo.

H2COLOR-Pigments can also be applied to wool, in a more ecological process than than the standar wool dyeing. No heavy metals are present and no ammonia is used. 

Printing with H2COLOR-AUX

For printing with reactive dyes, when adding H2COLOR-AUX it behaves just like in dyeing, preventing hydrolysis. Washing off-procedures in jet are much shorter, just like in dyeing, since there is a lot less hydrolysed dye present. In continuous washing off, it produces higher wash-fastness colours, since there is less hydrolysed dye present. For digital printing tour formulation containing H2COLOR-AUX works in the same way, saving in the washing-off.
